Brilliant Minds doing Brilliant Things

“Success – See your goal; Understand the obstacles; Create a positive mental picture; Clear your mind of self-doubt; Embrace the challenge; Stay on track; Show the world you can do it!”

Year 8 & 9 students participating in the Brilliant Club project “The Scholars Programme” for this academic year were invited to a launch event at Manchester University. The programme involves the completion of an extended project following a series of after-school tutorials led by an external PHD tutor. During the Launch Event, students enjoyed an informative study skills session, a campus tour, a university application guidance session as well as a Question & Answer with some current undergraduates who gave our students many anecdotes about their personal university experiences.

A thoroughly enjoyable day. Our students were complimented on their lovely manners and excellent participation in all activities! Students begin the first of their project tutorials next week.

Headteacher, Paul Stirling said, “we are delighted to be involved in this outstanding initiative that extends our young student’s abilities, mindset and interests outside the classroom, truly brilliant minds doing brilliant things, wishing you all every SUCCESS.”
