“I was blessed with certain gifts and talents and God gave them to me to be the best person I can be and to have a positive impact on other people.” Bryan Clay
STEM club update – Elastic Potential
For British science week, beginning 20th March, we challenged our budding scientists to design a jelly baby launching device using only a small collection of materials which each participant received. Prizes were given to the best design and the furthest launch. The winning distance for one poor jelly baby was catapulted 20 feet! Our competition winners were Amelia Lally, Joe Topping and Hope Blair who received national book vouchers.
Each week our members of the STEM group have carried out a practical activity, such as flame tests, making telescope, learning morse code, using science to defeat zombies and using circuits to detect changes in our environment. A selection of photos from the student’s activities this term highlights the extent of the amazing, talented work undertake.
