Bringing CLASS to the Cuisine!

“I’m just someone who likes cooking and for whom sharing food is a form of expression.” Maya Angelou

The college has signed up to the prestigious Pyramid Project for another year. This project is run by the chef James Holden, and it links secondary schools with primary schools and catering colleges to improve understanding of where food comes from and to encourage healthy eating through cooking skills. James came into the college and worked with year 11 students.

He ran a workshop that focused on high preparation and cooking skills. The learning outcomes from these workshops will enable our students to have a better understanding of preparation and cooking skills. It will also assist in attaining higher grades at KS4. The students had a very rewarding, enjoyable and educational experience.

We look forward to welcoming James back into the college on 8th November for another amazing workshop.
