MOBO winner Esco Williams
Esco Williams won the award at the MOBO music awards for the best up and coming unsigned act. Last week at Archbishop Beck he presented at all the year group assemblies as part of his work with the Anthony Walker Foundation. He gave a clear message to the young people about the tragic events that led to Anthony Walker’s death. His unique approach is to interact with his audience and through music get the message of Racism, Diversity and Equality through in a fun way.
What a performance! Not only did our students enjoy the act they learned about really important topics within the Citizenship Curriculum. It is even said that Mr Shanks was also seen rapping in the aisles! Many thanks to Esco and his colleagues for putting on a thought-provoking presentation. Good luck in the future.
