Poland / Auschwitz Trip

The College is pleased to announce that a new school trip the Polish city of Krakow and prison camps of Auschwitz/Birkenau which will take place from Wednesday 13th March – Friday 15th 2013 March inclusive.

24 students and 3 members of staff will depart from John Lennon Airport and on arrival will undertake a sightseeing Tour of Krakow with walk around Kazimierz district (former Jewish district of Krakow), a visit to Schindler’s Factory and the Salt mine of Wieliczka followed by Polish meal and evening of entertainment.

They will conclude their visit with a full day trip to the Camps of Auschwitz & Birkenau before return flight to John Lennon Airport.

This is a trip that is eagerly anticipated and before departure the students will be briefed by Mr Alan Williams, Headteacher of Emmaus Primary School, Croxteth Park about what it is they will see, experience and reflect upon whilst on the trip. Mr Williams has an extensive knowledge about this dark time in human history and we are grateful for the time he will give up to us in the New Year.
