CSI Maths Mystery

As part of the College’s Maths Scholarship Programme we invited Jackson Kavanagh, a director from As Creatives, to Archbishop Beck to deliver a CSI maths mystery workshop to the Year 7 scholarship students.

The students were tasked with finding the attempted murderer of Michaela Maths from a list of six suspects, using all of their mathematical knowledge to tackle a series of clues that ultimately led to them solving the crime.

Speaking after the workshop, Jackson commented on the confidence and mathematical ability of the students involved, saying “I have rarely worked with a group so mathematically able. They’re confident to work independently and are enthusiastic to participate.”
