The Prayer sung by the College Choir
I pray you’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know
Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your Grace
To a place where we’ll be safe
I pray we’ll find your light
And hold it in our hearts
When stars go out each night
Let this be our prayer
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe.
We ask that life be kind
And watch us from above
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child
Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe
A Special Poem written and read by Tony s niece Kelly
How can you love someone you never knew?
Someone who made sports day medals out of bottle tops and glue.
How can you feel that someone watching over you;
Keeping you safe and missing you to.
With a family like ours the answer is clear;
Stories of Tony are the favourite things to tell, and hear.
We look at the picture of him on our wall;
And we see how he is gorgeous, handsome and tall.
Each of us know things we weren t there for;
Like there only being one boy playing out in the downpour.
So we thank my Nan and Granddad for keeping his spirit alive;
From them we gain memories which through generation will survive.
May someday our own children feel the same;
Admiration for their uncle and protected through his name.
We thank our parents, uncles and aunties for giving us the pleasure;
Of knowing our Tony, our uncle who we treasure.
And thank you to everyone for being here today;
Is proves to us that Tony was a special person in every way.
So, how can you love someone you never knew?
When every day you make us treasure what Tony meant to you.
