Sixth Form Edge Hill Visit

There were two early starts for Archbishop Beck Sixth Form students on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September, as they travelled to Edge Hill University to view their facilities.

On their arrival at 9am, the Year 12 and year 13s were welcomed and issued into the University’s lecture theatre for an introduction to Uni life. The lecturer told the Sixth Formers all about University life and what our students could expect if they decided to go there for higher education.

The students of the University were very helpful, showing the Sixth Formers around, and also talking to them about their experience and where and how they study on the Campus. This took up most of the morning, with a full questions and answers period after the introduction.

The University then treated the Sixth Formers to lunch in the cafeteria, and then it was off around the campus to see for themselves the size of the Uni and all the different buildings and classrooms that accommodate study.
