Service of Remembrance and Dedication
Thousands of people took part in Liverpool’s Annual “Service of Remembrance and Dedication” at The Cenotaph, St George’s Hall, Liverpool, and this year commemorating the centenary of the start of World War One.
The college community was represented by members of staff as well as Head Girl, Sophie and Amy and Jon-Joe. The college students were privileged to have the honour of laying a wreath on behalf of Archbishop Beck Catholic College.
Speaking after the event, Sophie said, it was a very moving Service and I felt so honoured to be part of this 100th Anniversary commemoration.
Sophie, Amy and Jon-Joe also had the opportunity to speak with Lance Corporal Carl Simnel who had seen tours of duty both in Afghanistan and Iraq.
