Our Lenten Journey Begins
At the heart of the Christian faith is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On one side of this event and its remembrance are the 40 days of Lent (not including Sundays), a time of preparation for the celebration of our Lord’s passage from death to life.
Ash Wednesday is the name given to the first day of the season of Lent, in which ashes are applied to the foreheads of Christians to signify an inner repentance.
The college community took part in a simple ceromony when students and staff had the opportunity to receive the “ashes”.
