Read for my School

Once again, Archbishop Beck is taking part in Read for My School, an exciting national reading competition. The competition, which involves year 7 and 8 pupils, runs from January to April 2016. Reading for pleasure is at the heart of the initiative, which aims to generate excitement about books and cultivate long-lasting positive attitudes towards reading.

Year 7 and 8 students can visit the website www.readformyschool.co.uk which is hosting a free online library of over 100 books by top children s authors. Books can be read online wherever students have internet access; the programme is fully compatible with most major tablets. Students can of course also choose to read books in print or books that are not part of the online library the goal is simply to read as much as possible this term.

Good luck to our year 7 and 8 students!
