The Beautiful Game
It was indeed a ‘Beautiful Game’ when on Saturday 24th of September five of our most deserving students were delighted to attend the Liverpool V Hull match at home.
The students were treated to an exceptional afternoon hosted by ‘Standard Charter’, enjoying a fine dining experience before the match and having individual characatures drawn by resident artist Chris Ryder.
The highlight of the day was indeed the match itself, seated in the new stand with a panoramic view of the game the students delighted in the 5 spectacular goals achieved by the team, cheering on behalf of all our ‘Red’ fans here at Archbishop Beck.
The afternoon was complete after additional hospitality and gifts from Standard Charter to each student, along with autographed programmes and a chat with ‘Super Sub’ himself, David Fairclough.
The students comment of the day was that it was ‘the best’, and want to thank Steve Rotherham MP and Joel Lewis his Communications Officer personally for organising this wonderful experience.
