University of Liverpool

University of Liverpool kindly opened its doors for students in Years 8, 9 & 10 last week. It certainly was a busy week!

On Tuesday 21st November, Year 9’s found out about Spanish Culture, even taking part in a Spanish dancing and music lesson.

Year 8 students completed a project on the ‘History of the future’. All completed projects are now in a time capsule, waiting for someone in the future (14 years from now) to read their predictions. I wonder how many will have predicted correctly? Even though University as a destination seems an age away to our Year 8 students, spending time within the environment has certainly raised their aspirations.

Finally, 7 Year 10 students attended a ‘Pathway to Law’ programme, finding out exactly what they need to achieve academically to enter the profession in the future. All students on this pathway will be offered a place at the University of Liverpool studying Law if they continue on the programme and meet all of the milestones.
