College Community Marks “Ash Wednesday”

“Lent comes providentially to reawaken us, to shake us from our lethargy.” Pope Francis

As we now begin the 40 days of Lent we turn our spiritual focus to prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

The college held special services on Ash Wednesday for students and staff who were blessed on the forehead with a cross of ashes as a symbol of death and penance.

The college community were delighted and privileged to have been joined at our services by Fr Daniel Howard, Assistant Curate, St. Columba’s, Anfield, who helped distribute the ashes.
