Bikeability Level 3

Bikeability Level 3 teaches you to ride confidently on many types of open road, and able to deal with traffic such as when cycling to school and longer journeys with more demanding routes.

The training course is normally 1:1 in a 2 hour session. It includes route planning and practical advice on riding in challenging open road situations.

When you have completed your Level 3, you will be awarded with your green badge. You will be able to:

  • Make a trip safely to school, work or elsewhere on any roads
  • Use complex junctions and road features such as roundabouts, multi-lane roads and traffic lights
  • ‘Filter’, to keep moving through stationary traffic
  • Plan your route
  • Interpret road signs

There will be another course running on the 23rd March and there are still some places available, there is no cost to the students and they can borrow a bike and helmet if they do not have one.

See Mr McKean for a consent form.

Well done!
