5 Minute Q & A with Erin Brown & Mr Hicks
What does a typical day look like for you?
I work 8:30-4:30 at the Royal Hospital in the Business HR department. After work I’ll usually go to the gym or go down to the beach, if I’m not doing that I’d be catching up with friends!
When you were younger what did you want to be?
Everything and anything. I’ve never really knew for sure what I want to do!
What’s the latest book you are reading?
White Teeth by Zadie Smith
What is your all time favourite movie?
Probably the Parent Trap
What advice would you give your teenage self?
Not to worry so much about the future, I put so much pressure on myself to have it all figured out by the time I left school and when I was still unsure on what I wanted to do I felt like I should have known. Going out into the world has made me realise there’s actually very few people who know exactly what they want to do. Everything will work out and as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters!!
When did you leave the College?
Left Sixth Form in 2014
What have you been doing since you left?
Working and travelling mainly! Worked in a restaurant for a few years, then a solicitors and now in the hospital. I have travelled to Thailand, Dubai and Fiji where I lived for 2 months doing voluntary work!
What do you hope to have achieved in the next 5 years?
I’d like to take a career break and move to Australia or New Zealand for a year just to see some more of the world and make more memories!
