Setting out a Road Map for Success

“Action is the foundational key to all success.” Pablo Picasso

On Wednesday evening 22nd November Year 10 students and their parents attended the ‘Welcome to GCSE’ presentation.

Fantastic presentations were delivered by members of the academic staff. The presentations focused on the requirements of the various courses and what parents can do to support, encourage and reassure their children at this important time in their educational journey.

Parents gained further insight into the demands of GCSE study and ways they can support their child to reach the grades they are aspiring for.

The feedback from parents was very positive.

“I feel the session really focussed the parents as much as the pupils to ensure a solid revision programme starts now. Long term revision benefits were made really clear”.

“I was really pleased with the revision information given tonight and the fact that the children have so much time to prepare now. Meaning we can support our children through this and make their exams as stress free as possible”

Paul Stirling, Headteacher said, “the evening was a fantastic opportunity to enable the college community to meet with parents, students and staff outlining what is required to give our young people every chance for academic success”
